The ninth show completed for 2022 was for Monte Alto High School from Monte Alto, Texas. Monte Alto is in the Rio Grande Valley in deep South Texas, about 25 miles northeast of Edinburg. They are a small school of 275 students. Their director is Giovanni Rodriguez. This is the first time I have done their show.
Their show is entitled The Dark Castle and it was by John Fischer. The three movements are Castle Entrance, The Chapel, and Dungeon Escape. The show was written for 37 members including 31 winds and has 29 sets. This was their closer.
This show was completed on June 27.
