The twenty-sixth show completed for 2022 was for Newton High School from Newton, Texas. Newton is in far southeast Texas about 60 miles north of Beaumont and about 10 miles from the Louisiana border in the Texas Piney Woods. They are a smaller school with 283 students. Their director is Billy Geraci. This is the first time I have done their show from a professional side (I was band director there for three years.)
Their show is titled Shine and it is by Luke McMillan. Movements for the show are Daybreak, Here Comes the Sun, and Shine. The show was written for 47 members including 33 winds. This show has 30 sets. This is the opener.
This show was completed on August 14.
