The thirteenth show completed for 2022 was for Stafford High School from Stafford, Texas. Stafford is a Houston suburb, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston. They are a medium to large school with about 1,045 students. Their director is Rod Rodriguez. This is the 14th time I have done their show, the most for a school other than my own.
Their show is entitled Fire and Ice and it is by Gary P. Gilroy. It is written in three movements. Traditionally, Stafford is the largest band that I write for and this year it was for 157 members including 130 winds. The show has 40 sets. This was their opener.
