The 9th displayed drill for 2024 is for Luling High School from Luling, Texas. Luling is in south central Texas about 75 miles northeast of San Antonio. Their director is Nathan Rolfe. This is the first time I have done their show. They are a 3A UIL classified school in Region 12.
Their show is entitled Dreams and Nightmares and is arranged by Luke McMillan. It is in three movements. Music used includes Mr. Sandman sung by the Chordettes, Gymnopdie No. 1 by Satie, Talking to the Moon by Bruno Mars, and Sweet Dreams by the Eurthymics.
The drill was written for 45 band members including 30 winds. It has 34 sets. This show was completed on June 24.
