The second show completed for 2019 was for Western Harnett High School from Lillington, North Carolina. Lillington is about 40 miles due south of Raleigh. The school has 1,477 students which is the 3rd largest school that I write for. Their director is Curtis Collins and this is the second year I have done their show.
The show is entitled DeComposers and is by Randall Standridge. There are 3 movements to the show using works from Beethoven, Mozart, and a little Bach in a very creepy way.
The drill has 46 sets and would be considered a Grade 3 to 3.5 or of medium difficulty. There were 51 members of the band including 38 winds. This show was completed on May 19.
This was a fun show and one of my favorites of 2019.
