The fifth show completed for 2019 was for Columbus High School from Columbus, Texas. Columbus is 65 miles west of Houston and about 110 miles east of San Antonio. The school has 481 students and are classified as a 3A school in UIL Region 18. Their director is Amanda Robison. This is the 6th time I have done their show; the first time since 2013.
Their show is entitled Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorsky and is from Alfred Publications arranged by Mike Story. Movements from the show are Promenade, Babi Yaga, and The Great Gate of Kiev.
The show has 32 sets and would be considered a Grade 2.5 or of moderate easy difficulty. There were 61 members to this band including 47 winds. This show was completed on June 5.
