The twenty-third show that was completed for 2019 was for Van Vleck High School from Van Vleck, Texas. Van Vleck is about 75 miles southwest from Houston and about 20 miles west of where I work in West Columbia. The school has 332 students and is classified as 3A in UIL Region 13. Their director is Rachel Clakley and this is the 6th time I have done their show.
The show is entitled A Celtic Divide United and uses the music from the Circle of Stones show by Barry Hurt and edited by Luke McMillan. It is written in four movements.
The show has 40 sets and would be considerd a Grade 3 or of moderate difficulty. There were 51 members to this band including 37 winds. This show was completed on September 3.
