The eighteenth show that was completed for 2019 was for Big Spring High School from Big Spring, Texas. Big Spring is in deep West Texas about 30 miles east of Midland. The school has 1,052 and is classified as 4A in UIL Region 6. Their director is John Landin. This is the first year I have done their show.
Their show is entiltled The Phantom of the Opera. They are the Hal Leonard arrangements of the show and are arranged by Jay Bocook. It is in four movements entitled Phantom of the Opera, Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again, Masquerade, and The Music of the Night.
The show has 39 sets and would be considered a Grade 3 or of moderate difficulty. There were 100 members to this band including 81 winds. This show was completed on July 25.
