The 24th show that was completed for 2018 was Calhoun High School from Port Lavaca, Texas. Port Lavaca is on the Texas Gulf Coast about 50 miles northeast of Corpus Christi. The school has about 1,188 students and is in UIL Region 14 classified as a AAAAA size school. The band charted for 109 members with 79 winds. Their director is Brian Hecimovich and this is the first time I have done their show.
The show is entitled Shades of Latin and the music comes from a variety of sources. The songs are Feeling Good, Sway, and El Cumbanchero.
The drill would be classified as a Grade 3 or moderate difficulty. There are 29 sets to this show. This show was completed on September 12.
