The 18th show that was completed was Carlinville High School from Carlinville, Illinois. Carlinville is in the south central part of the state about 80 miles northeast of St. Louis. They are the first midwest band and the first band from Illinois that I have done. The school has about 430 students. The band charted for 89 members with 77 winds. Their director is Ryan Pirok and this is the first year I have done their show.
Their show was entitled 2000 Pops and uses Hal Leonard arrangements by Michael Brown. The songs used were Viva La Vida, Best Day of My Life, and The Edge of Glory. The 2nd tune was a standstill tune so it is not included in the video.
The show would be classified as a Grade 1.5 and would be considered fairly easy. There are 16 sets to this show. This show was completed on July 28.
