The 16th show that was completed for 2018 was Hawley High School from Hawley, Texas. Hawley is about 15 miles north of Abilene in the central part of Texas. The school has about 217 students and is in UIL Region 6 classified as an AAA size school. The band charted for 46 members with 37 winds. Their director is Freddy Verastegui and this is the 4th year I have done their show.
The show is The Music of Chicago and it is the Alfred Publishing arrangements from Michael Story. The music used was Make Me Smile, Saturday in the Park, Wish You Were Here, and I’m a Man.
The show would be considered about a Grade 2.5 to 3 or of moderate difficulty. There are 28 sets to this show. The show was completed on July 18.
