The twenty-second show that was completed for 2019 was for Needville High School from Needville, Texas. Needville is about 45 miles southwest of Houston and about 20 miles from where I work in West Columbia. They are our friendly rivals. The school has 1,010 students and is classified as 4A in UIL Region 13. Their director is Lance Finley. This is the 10th year I have done their show which is the third most of any school.
The show is entitled Among the Clouds and is arranged by Jair Klarfeld. It is in three movements. Much of the arrangement is based on the band piece of the same name by Brian Balmages.
The show has 45 sets and would be considered a Grade 3.5 or of moderate difficulty. There were 114 members of this band including 94 winds. This show was completed on August 14.
