The last two come tonight.
The twenty-eighth show that was completed for 2019 was for Pasadena High School from Pasadena, Texas. Pasadena is the first city east of Houston with the school about 20 minutes from downtown. The school has 2,793 students, the largest school that I write for and would be classified as a 6A high school in UIL Region 19. Their director is Jason Warren and this is the 6th time I have done their show.
The show is entitled Words and is by Randall Standridge. It is in five movements entitled Words, Opposites, Poetry, Hurt, Verbs, and Finale.
The show has 57 sets which was the most for this year and would be considered a Grade 5 or highly difficult. There were 125 members to this band (3rd largest) including 112 winds (2nd largest). This was the 2nd of 3 shows completed on September 29.
