The ninth show completed was for Seagraves High School from Seagraves, Texas. Seagraves is in the southern part of the Texas Panhandle about 50 miles southwest of Lubbock. The school has 152 students and is classified as 2A in UIL Region 16. Their director is George Rangel and this is the 2nd time I have done their show.
The show is entitled Grimm Tales and it is by Luke McMillan. The three movements are entitled Hansel and Gretel, Rumplestiltskin and Red Riding Hood. As it turns out, this is the 3rd time I have done this show.
The show has 40 sets and would be considered a Grade 3 or of moderate difficulty. There were 54 members to this band including 44 winds. This show was completed on June 27. This show was one of three that was completed at the Drill Retreat at Cape Cod in June.
