The thirteenth show completed for 2019 was for Stafford High School from Stafford, Texas. Stafford is about 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston and the next town north from Sugarland. The school has 1,043 students and is classified as 4A in UIL Region 13. Their director is Rod Rodriguez and this is the 11th time I have done their show which is second only to Columbia.
Their show is entitlted War Dance and it is by John Fannin. It is in three movements.
The show has 48 sets and would be considered a Grade 4 or of considerable difficulty. There were 189 memebers to this band including 162 winds. They are the largest band that I write for. This show was completed on July 12.
