The fifthteenth show completed for 2019 was for Sweeny High School from Sweeny, Texas. Sweeny is about 70 miles southwest of Houston and about 5 miles west from where I work in Brazoria. They are Columbia High School’s biggest rival. The school has 617 students and is classified as 4A in UIL Region 13. Their director is Jessica Loggins and this is the 5th year I have done their show.
Their show is entitled The Adventures of Superspy and it is by Barry Hurt. It is in four movments entitled Superspy, Beautiful Foreign Agent, The Chase, and Superspy Returns.
The show has 45 sets and would be considered a Grade 3.5 or of moderate difficulty. There were 60 members to this band including 42 winds. This show was completed on July 17.
