The eleventh show that was completed was for Tatum High School from Tatum, Texas. Tatum is in east Texas about 20 miles southeast of Longview, about 120 east of Dallas and about 30 miles west of the Louisiana border. The school has 499 students and is classified as 3A in UIL Region 21. Their director is Bailey Petersma. This is the 3rd year I have done their show.
Their show is entitled Wild Things and it is by Gary Gilroy. The three movements are entitled The Land, The Sea, and The Air.
The show has 42 sets and would be considered a Grade 3.5 or of moderate difficulty. This drill was one of my favorites. There were 93 members to this band including 77 winds. This show was completed on July 3 and was the third of 3 shows completed at the Drill Retreat at Cape Cod.
