Though I have five more drills to complete, it is about time to show the 29 Pyware videos from all the shows that I did this year. This has been and will continue to be a busy year. The numbers as far as school size are approximate. The size of the bands were the original numbers. I have had quite a few rewrites this year due to numbers so the video may not match the description.
So…here we go.
The first show completed for 2019 was for Tom Moore High School from Ingram, Texas. Ingram is about 60 miles northwest of San Antonio and very near the town of Kerrville near the Texas Hill Country. The school has 337 students and is classified as a 3A school in UIL Region 29. Their director is Samuel Bigot and this is the second year I have done their show.
The show is entitled The Eye of the Storm (ironic as we are dealing with a tropical storm tonight.) The music is by Luke McMillan. Movements of this show are Darkening Skies, Eye of the Storm, and Aftermath, with a brass interlude to finish the show up.
The drill has 28 sets and would be considered about a Grade 2 on a 1 to 5 scale or of medium easy difficulty. There were 28 members of the band including 18 winds. This show was completed on May 12.
