With Sabinal’s 1st Division from last week, that makes 12 1st Divisions for 2017 which breaks the record of 11 from 2011. This was a good day!
Congratulations to all of the bands! A couple of groups very dear to me, first to Pasadena who I finally broke through this year. They were quite good tonight. And to Columbia who I was worried as soon as a week ago that they wouldn’t even make a 2. They pulled it off.
Sabinal, Ganado, George West, East Bernard, Industrial, Blanco and Lockney are going to the Area round next week. More details to come later. And, there are still two more bands to go to their region contests on Tuesday, interestingly both at 11:15 am at different parts of the state. Waskom goes to Region 4 in Pine Tree and Hawley goes toe Region 6 in Abilene.
