The 17th show that was completed for 2018 was Van Vleck High School in Van Vleck, Texas. Van Vleck is about 75 miles southwest of Houston. The school has 321 students and is in UIL Region 13 classified as a AAA size school. The band charted for 40 members with 27 winds. Their director was Rachel Clackley and this is the 5th time I have done their show.
The show is entitled Around the World in 5 1/2 Minutes and it is by Barry Hurt. The areas represented are the USA, England, Scotland, Spain, France, Germany, Africa, Israel, Japan, Mexico, and an American reprise.
The show would be considered a Grade 3 or of moderate difficulty. There are 35 sets to this show. This show was completed on July 21.
