The 6th show for display from 2023 is for Orangefield High School from Orangefield, Texas. Orangefield is in deep southeast Texas between Beaumont and Orange near the Louisiana border. Their director is Philip Alvarado and my contact is their junior high director, Michael Rose. This is the first time I have done their show.
The show is entitled Only the Strong and is arranged by Scott Ward. It is about how the strong accomplish and survive. Movements include Verdi’s Dies Irae, The Show Must Go On from The Greatest Showman, and Survivor by Beyonce.
The show was written for 55 members including 36 winds. It has 47 sets.
This show was completed on August 23.
