Some results are coming. But, a couple of thank yous.
First to Region 10 for giving me the opportunity to judge their bands which was a first time for me. Despite it being very windy and as it got later, a bit cold, I had a great time. This was the 2nd time I have had a chance to judge in that region and I love the hospitality that they gave me. And, there are some really good bands in southeast Texas.
Second, to Lamar University and to their Director of Athletic Bands, Tim Pallone to have the opportunity to write drill for their show. This was the first university band that I have written for. It is one thing to watch something that you wrote on a computer with computer generated music as recordings, it is something completely different to see it played so well and with that hit your face sound. Really good stuff. They marched exhibition at the contest last night and that is where the video comes from.
So, some results:
Tuscarora High School from Frederick, MD performed at the Bands of America Mid Atlantic Contest and finished a respectable 25th. This was the first group I have ever had go to BOA.
