The 48th show completed for 2026 is for Bellaire High School from Houston, Texas. Houston is the largest city in Texas and is in the southeast part of the state. Bellaire is on the western side of the city. Their director is Bill Waltemath. This is the 7th time I have done their show.
That leaves nine more. Palacios, South East, Odyssey Charter, Hitchcock, Pauls Valley, and Norfolk are awaiting final approval. South Walton, Lamar, and Desert Sunrise are three movements in with two waiting on music to come this way.
I am still hoping for September 25 to be finished for 2026. I do have one winterguard show coming this year (South Walton in Florida). Things are starting to settle down. I am preparing to display some of these drills in November on this page and some other platforms as well.
Competition season starts this weekend with several of the bands and as I find out some results, I will post them here. I will be going to a few of the contests though a little different than last year. The weekend of October 10, instead of Edna, Anne and I will be in New Orleans to take some time off. October 17, I will be at Port Neches Grove to judge UIL Region 10’s contest (which will be a first for me, I am both excited and nervous). After that, I’ll go watch an area contest and possibly parts of state UIL in San Antonio. I have a couple of BOA bands this year which is a first.
