Four years ago, in August, I was recommended by the Iowa Colony HS band directors to Michael Rose, then the assistant band director at Orangefield to write drill. They did well that year getting the alternate spot at area. It has been a lot of close calls but they broke through in 2026 (which just happens to be the theme of their show). Congratulations to Mr. Rose (who is now the head director), the band staff and the kids in Orangefield.
Good stuff! Orangefield performs at 9:30am on November 4 in the Alamodome in San Antonio.
